Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist – Paediatrics Location: Buckinghamshire Role Type: Permanent Salary: £47,976 actual (term-time only) The Role Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join an SEN school in Buckinghamshire, supporting children aged 5–16 within a specialist educational setting. Details This role involves delivering specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention for children with a range of communication, language, and developmental needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support pupils' communication, participation, emotional wellbeing, and independence, contributing to positive educational outcomes. Responsibilities Manage a specialist paediatric Speech and Language Therapy caseload for children aged 5–16 Complete comprehensive communication, language, speech, and swallowing assessments where appropriate Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes Support pupils with speech, language, social communication, and functional communication skills Work collaboratively with teachers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, families, and other professionals Contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews, and multidisciplinary reports Provide training, advice, and communication strategies to school staff and parents/carers Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome measures Support junior colleagues and contribute to service development where appropriate Requirements HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist Experience working within paediatric or specialist educational settings Knowledge of developmental language disorders, autism, and complex communication needs Ability to manage a complex caseload independently Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills Benefits Competitive salary of £47,976 actual (term-time only) Opportunity to work within a specialist paediatric school environment Supportive multidisciplinary team Ongoing CPD and career development opportunities Applying for roles If you are interested in this position, please get in touch to discuss further opportunities.
