Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist Location: Kingston upon Thames Role Type: Permanent Salary: £53,000 Sponsorship: Available The Role Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist paediatric service in Kingston upon Thames supporting children and young people aged 2–19 with complex additional needs. Details The role involves working with children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Complex Learning and Developmental Difficulties (CLDD). You will provide specialist assessment and intervention to support communication, interaction, and where appropriate, feeding and swallowing needs. Responsibilities Manage a specialist paediatric caseload aged 2–19 Complete speech, language, communication, and dysphagia assessments where appropriate Develop and implement individualised therapy and communication plans Support AAC and alternative communication approaches Work collaboratively with families, schools, and the multidisciplinary team Provide training and guidance to staff and carers Contribute to EHCPs and care planning Maintain accurate clinical records and reports Requirements HCPC registration Significant experience within paediatric speech and language therapy Strong knowledge of PMLD, MLD, CLDD, and complex communication needs Experience with AAC and dysphagia management desirable Ability to manage complex caseloads independently Strong leadership and communication skills Applying for roles If you are interested in this position, please get in touch to discuss further opportunities.
