Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist – PMLD Location: London (Bedelsford School) Role Type: Permanent Salary: £54,000 The Role Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join Bedelsford School in London, working within a specialist PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) setting. Details The role involves working with children and young people with complex and profound learning disabilities, supporting communication, sensory needs, and feeding/swallowing where appropriate. You will work closely with staff, families, and a multidisciplinary team to maximise communication and quality of life. Responsibilities Manage a specialist PMLD caseload within a school setting Complete communication and dysphagia assessments Develop and implement individualised therapy and communication plans Support use of AAC and alternative communication systems Provide training and guidance to school staff and carers Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team Contribute to EHCPs and care planning Maintain accurate clinical records and reports Requirements HCPC registration Significant experience in paediatric speech and language therapy Strong knowledge of PMLD, complex communication needs, and dysphagia Experience with AAC systems Ability to work independently in specialist settings Strong leadership and communication skills Applying for roles If you are interested in this position, please get in touch to discuss further opportunities.
