Speech and Language Therapist – Acute Hospital, Co. Louth
Cpl Healthcare is partnering with the HSE and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist. The successful candidate will deliver assessment and intervention services for adults with speech, language, communication, voice, and eating, drinking or swallowing difficulties.
This role offers a strong career development opportunity for newly qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapists within an acute hospital environment.
The Speech and Language Therapy Department provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with speech, language, communication, voice, and eating, drinking or swallowing needs.
The role involves working with patients presenting with a variety of neurological, medical and surgical conditions.
Job Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Carry out routine intake assessments
The Candidate:
Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification and current CORU registration
Postgraduate experience in an acute setting is desirable for staff grade applicants; relevant placement experience will also be considered
Dysphagia qualification and experience
Willingness to undertake cross-site work as required
Videofluoroscopy experience is desirable
Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
