Senior Grade Speech and Language Therapist required, in partnership with the Tusla, for opportunity to work in ACTS Building, St Lomans Campus, Ballyowen, Palmerstown, Dublin 20. D20YK16.
The person appointed to this post will work as part of the multidisciplinary team in the Assessment Consultation and Therapy Service delivering a clinical therapeutic service to young people and their families. ACTS is a multidisciplinary clinical service in the Child and Family Agency. The Speech and Language Therapist is a core member of the multi-disciplinary team which also includes Psychology, Social Work, Counsellors with expertise in addiction, and Social Care.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and intervention for children and young people with complex communication, feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing needs. Deliver evidence-based, person-centred care while working collaboratively with service users, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams. Lead and support clinical service delivery through the supervision and development of staff and students, participation in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings, and contribution to service planning, quality improvement and policy development. Maintain accurate clinical records and reports, ensure compliance with professional, ethical and legislative requirements, promote best practice and clinical governance, and contribute to education, training, health promotion and service development initiatives. Support a safe, inclusive and high-quality service by actively engaging in risk management, performance management, continuing professional development and organisational objectives.
The Candidate:
A recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist with CORU registration
Permission to work in Ireland
