Senior Speech and Language Therapist – Cork
Cpl Healthcare, partnership with our client, the HSE are recruiting for a Speech & Language Therapist in Cork University Hospital for a temporary agency assignment of up to 6 months to cover a vacancy within an Acute Paediatrics service.
While the vacancy is at Senior Grade, candidates at Staff Grade level with the required skills and experience will also be considered.
Requirements:
- Experience working within Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy services.
- Ability to assess and manage communication disorders and eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties in the paediatric population.
- Dysphagia qualification or equivalent in line with the IASLT Standards of Practice for Speech & Language Therapists on the Management of Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Disorders (Dysphagia).
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and multidisciplinary team working skills.
The Candidate:
A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy with CORU registration
3 years post graduate experience working with adult ideally in the area of acquired communication difficulties (e.g., aphasia, dysarthria), acquired swallowing difficulties (i.e., dysphagia) and voice difficulties
