Current Need:
A vacancy now exists for a Quality Control Analyst to join the QC Department reporting to the QC Team Lead at the Swords Campus.
Role Summary:The QC Analyst is responsible for testing raw materials, intermediates, and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in the Quality Control Laboratory. The role ensures that all materials meet approved specifications and comply with GMP and company standards.
The QC Analyst may also provide in-process analytical support to Manufacturing Operations when required.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform testing of raw materials, intermediates, and APIs according to approved methods and specifications.
- Support in-process testing activities to assist manufacturing operations.
- Record and review analytical data accurately in accordance with GMP and data integrity requirements.
- Work as part of a Lean Lab team-based structure, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate fully in daily huddle meetings and use short interval control boards to track performance and address issues.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Support investigations such as OOS, deviations, and CAPAs when required.
The role involves the use of classical and modern analytical technologies, including:
- Raman spectroscopy
- FTIR
- Karl Fischer titration
- HPLC
- GC
- ICP-OES
- ICP-MS
- Wet chemistry techniques
The QC Analyst must ensure all testing is performed accurately and that instruments are used and maintained in accordance with approved procedures.
Minimum Requirements:- A BSc in Analytical Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in analytical chemistry is required.
- The QC Analyst should be highly motivated, with strong teamwork skills and comfortable working in a team-based environment.
- Flexibility is required to respond to changing business needs and priorities.
- The QC Analyst must be able to manage their own workload effectively.
- Active participation in QC sub-teams is required, including Safety, Equipment, Audit Readiness, Investigation Writing, My Green Labs, and Documentation teams.
