Our client is a leading Irish life, pensions and investment provider that has recently established a new Corporate Pensions division as part of a wider Wealth & Insurance strategy. This is a newly created, in-house leadership role covering the full Corporate Pensions product suite — an excellent opportunity to shape the product strategy behind a growing and evolving business.
The Role
As Head of Corporate Pensions Product Design and Management, you will provide strategic leadership for the Corporate Pensions product portfolio, ensuring products remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with the organisation's growth objectives. You'll own the full product lifecycle — from design and pricing through to performance monitoring — and lead a small, growing team of product specialists. The role also carries responsibility for a range of in-scheme product lines, including in-scheme drawdown and a public sector AVC book, with direct engagement with the regulator.
This is primarily an in-house, technical leadership role rather than a market-facing one, suited to someone who enjoys deep product ownership and cross-functional collaboration over external relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic development and management of the Corporate Pensions product portfolio
- Drive product innovation through market research, customer insights and competitor analysis
- Manage the full product lifecycle: design, pricing, positioning and performance monitoring
- Oversee in-scheme drawdown and public sector AVC products, including regulator engagement
- Oversee pricing strategy and profitability analysis, ensuring sustainable growth and governance adherence
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Compliance and IT to deliver product initiatives
- Prepare and present business cases to senior management and committees
- Act as subject matter expert for corporate pension products, supporting internal teams and external partners
- Lead and grow a team of product specialists
What We're Looking For
- Extensive product management experience within Corporate Pensions or broader insurance/financial services
- Deep understanding of pension products, particularly corporate pensions, including regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Proven track record leading product strategy, pricing and lifecycle management
- Experience working with reinsurers and managing pricing governance processes
- Senior-level stakeholder management experience, including presenting business cases
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science or related discipline
