Senior Property Loss Adjuster
We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Loss Adjuster to join a growing Property & Complex Claims team. This field-based role offers the opportunity to manage a portfolio of both domestic and commercial property claims, from initial assessment through to settlement, while delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the claims journey.
As a senior technical specialist, you will be responsible for investigating complex property losses, conducting on-site assessments, gathering and analysing evidence, and providing clear recommendations in line with policy coverage and business objectives. You will work closely with customers, brokers, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve fair and timely claim resolutions.
In addition to handling your own caseload, you will provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, helping to drive best practice across the team. This role is ideal for an experienced adjuster seeking a senior position that leverages deep technical expertise without direct people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage domestic and commercial property claims from first notification through to settlement.
- Conduct field-based loss assessments and investigations.
- Analyse policy coverage and make technically sound claim decisions.
- Negotiate settlements and deliver fair outcomes for all parties.
- Build strong relationships with customers, brokers, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
- Provide coaching, guidance and technical support to less experienced colleagues.
- Support response efforts during surge and catastrophic claim events.
Requirements
- CIP qualified.
- Dip LA, ACILA or ACII qualified.
- 10+ years' loss adjusting experience.
- Strong experience handling commercial property claims, including business interruption losses.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
