My client are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with powerplant background for a 1 year fixed term contract / or Ltd company for a start in January 2027.
The Project Electrical Engineer is to provide support and technical expertise to the LTE Project in the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical works.
The role holder will deliver the execution of site works; ensuring work is undertaken safely, within programme and budget, in adherence to quality and within specification and standards.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Provide assistance with preparation, review and submission of electrical design and specifications.
Work with the Asset Electrical Engineer to give a qualified assessment of electrical designs, studies and reports.
Undertakes witness testing of the manufacturer's equipment and the contractor's installation and attends works progress meetings to monitor the progress and quality of work.
Supervise the activities of consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance in delivery of works.
Plan, direct and organise resources and manage contractors to deliver assigned project work.
Provide support and input to the Site Manager and Project Manager in daily project matters.
Investigate, diagnose and solve causes of specific project issues and plant performance.
Maintain a focus on electrical safety practices throughout the project design and construction, ensuring proper handling, installation, and operation of electrical systems.
Contribute data and updates as ongoing part of the project’s reporting requirements.
Track and report on project progress.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they are completed according to design specifications.
Identify and input into the project risk register potential risks (inclusive of mitigation measures)/opportunities associated with electrical systems.
