We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist – Respiratory to work on a temporary basis in Hampshire. Please see details of the role below:
Role Details
- Role: Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist – Respiratory
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Pay: £30ph
- Start: ASAP
- Length: 3 months
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a busy respiratory team in Hampshire. You will be providing a high-quality clinical pharmacy service across respiratory wards and departments, supporting the safe and effective use of medicines for patients with a range of respiratory conditions. Duties will include medicines reconciliation, clinical screening of prescriptions, ward-based pharmacy support across respiratory services, inhaler technique review and optimisation, participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and contributing to medicines optimisation initiatives for patients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease.
Requirements
- Current GPhC registration
- Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience
- Demonstrable experience in clinical pharmacy within a respiratory or acute medicine setting
- Strong knowledge of respiratory medicines, inhaler devices, and medicines optimisation in respiratory care
- Familiarity with relevant clinical guidelines including BTS, NICE, and GOLD standards
- Experience contributing to MDT working
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work autonomously at Band 7 level
