Role Details
- Role: Band 5/6 ACT Pharmacy Technician
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Pay: £20 to £26ph
- Start: 14th September 2026
- Length: Ongoing
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accuracy Checking Technician to join a busy NHS pharmacy team in Northampton, with positions available at both Band 5 and Band 6 level. You will be responsible for providing accuracy checking support across the dispensary, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medicines to patients. Duties will include the accuracy checking of dispensed items, supporting the smooth running of the dispensary, and working closely with the wider pharmacy team to maintain high standards of accuracy and patient safety.
Requirements
- GPhC registration
- Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience
- Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification essential
- Proven experience in a dispensary-based accuracy checking role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider pharmacy team
