🏢 The Role & What You'll Do
As an MDIA, you will sit at the intersection of data science, commercial strategy, and public policy. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Data Analysis & Trend Tracking: Interpret data sets to monitor emerging trends across electronic communications and digital markets like cloud infrastructure.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with telecom operators, government departments, and international regulatory bodies to collect, validate, and process complex market data.
- Business Intelligence Reporting: Utilize data analytics and tools like PowerBI to build interactive visualisations and reports that empower evidence-based regulatory decisions.
- Project Leadership: Support cross-functional projects within the Wholesale Division and represent the organisation at international forums.
- Data Governance: Ensure compliance by updating and refining strict internal data procedures.
🎓 What You'll Bring (Requirements)
Essential Criteria
- Education: Minimum Level 8 Degree (NFQ) in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities and hands-on experience using business intelligence software (e.g., PowerBI).
- Analysis & Communication: Strong quantitative reasoning skills with a proven track record of writing clear reports and presenting complex data points to diverse audiences.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex datasets, both independently and collaboratively.
Desirable Extras
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software like ArcGIS.
- Familiarity with the tech, telecom, or cloud sectors alongside Irish and EU legal regulatory frameworks.
