Role Details
- Role: Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Pay: £36ph
- Start: ASAP
- Length: 3 months
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join a busy NHS hospital pharmacy team in Liverpool. At Band 8a level, you will provide expert clinical pharmacy input across a range of wards and specialities, leading on medicines optimisation and supporting the development of pharmacy services. Duties will include complex clinical screening and verification of prescriptions, providing expert medicines advice to multidisciplinary teams, leading on medicines optimisation initiatives, supporting and mentoring junior pharmacy staff, and contributing to the development and implementation of medicines-related policies and guidelines.
Requirements
- Current GPhC registration
- Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience at Band 7 or above
- Demonstrable experience in senior clinical pharmacy practice
- Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and evidence-based prescribing
- Experience leading or supervising pharmacy teams
- Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex clinical workload
