My client has an urgent requirement for an Accountant/Administrator to join their team. Super opportunity for the right candidate.
General
The Candidate will be responsible for the overall financial management and administration. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, be able to work independently and be able to focus on deadlines and targets. Excellent communication skills will be required, and they will be expected to produce regular finance reports in a format that makes them comprehensible to non-financial staff, the Finance Committee, and the Board. The Candidate will be expected to take a pro-active role in the overall management and advise the Hiring Manager on improving efficiency and cost control.
Finance
Duties will include:
· Payroll
· Fee collection
· Accounts payable
· Banking
· Periodic reporting
· Budgeting
· Application for subsidies
· Debt servicing
· Petty Cash
· Liaising with auditors
Maintenance
The Candidate will be responsible for overall maintenance of the Company. The day-to-day tasks are the responsibility of the Maintenance Manager. However, the Candidate will ensure that:
· The plant is maintained to a high standard
· Outside contractors provide value for money
· Temporary lettings are properly managed, ensuring that proper contracts are in place for any users, that they are adequately insured and that all rents due are collected.
· Maintenance requests from staff are addressed adequately and in a timely manner.
· The Company is fully compliant with health a safety legislation
Other
In addition to the above, the Candidate will be expected to undertake any other duties as may be assigned to them by the Hiring Manager
Characteristics
· Strong background in accounting

· Computer literate. The Company operates Microsoft Office Suite, Sage 50.
