Assistant Director of Nursing – Neuro Rehab Unit Galway
Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client located close to Galway city is currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing for a full-time permanent position.
Our client is the leading designated complex care rehabilitation facility in the West of Ireland, delivering specialist programmes for adults with physical or cognitive disabilities following accident, illness, or injury. As a CARF-accredited service with a dedicated Neurorehabilitation Unit, this organisation prides itself on delivering excellence through a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Therapy Assistants, Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants.
The Role
As ADON, you will play a key leadership role in developing structured neurorehabilitation pathways designed to maximise patient recovery, independence, and quality of life. You will collaborate closely with Disability Managers, Social Workers, and our wider MDT to drive high-quality, person-centred care.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in Brain Injury and a passion for leading clinical excellence.
Requirements
- Registered in the General Nurse Division (and relevant divisions if applicable) with NMBI.
- 5 years post-registration experience plus minimum 3 years nursing management experience at CNM2 level or equivalent, ideally in an acute or similar setting.
- Level 9 postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management, Nursing Leadership, or related area (desirable).
- Certified Brain Injury Specialist (desirable).
- Strong knowledge/experience in Quality Management and Nursing Development (essential).
- Demonstrated clinical expertise with excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
