My client Provides Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consulting services to its partners. Due to significant growth the company looks to hire an experience AutoCAD Technician to join their team on permanent basis. This will be an office-based role in our Head Office in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team in delivering multiple projects and tenders at any one time, embracing the ethos of “one team” culture.
- Visit sites to assess site, take dimensions and create detailed and accurate drawings for manufacture
- Preparation of GA co-ordination drawings in multi-discipline fields including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical
- Ensure principles of prevention are adopted in the design of the works through careful planning and operability studies.
- Monitor progress of your workflow to ensure delivery in line with works programme, adjust workflow and rate as necessary to achieve or better completion date.
- Attendance at project meetings/ drawing/ design review meetings
- Working in a team environment to input project metrics and extract workflows.
- Ability to set up a project from start, in addition to the ability to create families within projects
- Production and maintenance of drawing registers and control of drawing revisions
- Liaising with project teams and CAD/BIM manager to ascertain project needs and timelines for same
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience on a similar role
- AutoCAD skills and knowledge essential for this role
- Knowledge of Revit / BIM would be helpful
- Knowledge of IES / Hevacomp / Dialux would be helpful
- Knowledge of working with school type buildings – Primary & Secondary and / or other commercial / industrial building types
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution and presentation skills.
- Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
- Full driving license required
- M&E consultancy experience advantageous
- Knowledge of drawing or designing the following M&E engineering services:
- Mechanical: heating services, ventilation services, water services
- Electrical: General electrical services, lighting services, emergency lighting services, fire alarm & detection services
