Chemical Process Operator – 12 Month Contract
CPL, in partnership with SK pharmteco Ireland, is seeking a Chemical Process Operator for a 12-month contract.
The Chemical Process Operator will be responsible for all activities related to the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and the operation of an API plant.
This is a four-shift cycle role, supporting a 24/7/365 world-class manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle chemicals for the manufacture of chemical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
- Prepare and monitor equipment used for batch manufacturing and cleaning processes.
- Support Operational Excellence initiatives and other departmental projects as required.
- Ensure the plant remains audit-ready at all times, operating in a safe manner and in compliance with cGMP standards.
- Participate in the site emergency response team (if required).
- Use business systems for real-time data entry and transactions during operations, e.g., SAP, IT, and Delta V systems.
- Contribute to achieving key plant KPIs, including throughput, yield, safety, quality, and changeover targets.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another science discipline;
- or 4+ years of previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience with API/small molecule manufacturing is a strong advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision.
