The role:
A pivotal role, with a full copy of the Job Spec available on request, the Civil Sales Manager will:
- Have responsibility for driving sales performance and hitting revenue targets in the civil engineering and construction materials sector.
- Be experienced in building and and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, clients and key stakeholders within the civil engineering sector.
- Bring on new business opportunities, expand an already large customer base and strengthen the company's position in the market.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and seamless delivery of services.
- Deliver precise cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects to support competitive and profitable tender submissions.
- Lead the bid and tendering process to secure new projects, in line with company standards client requirements.
The person:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 3+ years of management experience, leading sales teams.
- Strong sales and estimating experience in the civil engineering/construction sector.
- Ability to read drawings and bar schedules.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
