My client a statutory body based in Dublin 24 ( hybrid working 3 days in office & 2 from home), have an immediate requirement for a Data Protection & Information Officer for a contract role until June 2026.
Reporting directly to the Board Secretariat and Compliance Manager, the Data Protection & Information Officer is primarily responsible for ensuring that the significant privacy and information compliance obligations are met, within legislative and regulatory deadlines and to appropriate standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A recognised third-level qualification at a minimum of NFQ Level 7 or equivalent;
• A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a similar/relevant role;
• A full Category B drivers licence that is valid in Ireland and a willingness to travel if required.
• An in-depth understanding of data protection laws and practices;
• Demonstrable knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Freedom of Information legislation and regulations;
• Significant experience of monitoring compliance and performance reporting;
• A record of successfully managing data protection compliance programmes, from initiation through to implementation;
• First-hand experience of developing and delivering compliance related training and awareness activities at all levels across an organisation
