Our client is a leading four-star Irish hotel and spa, recognised for exceptional guest experiences, warm hospitality and premium leisure, conference and wellness facilities. They are now seeking an ambitious and dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial strategy and drive revenue performance across all key markets.
The Opportunity
As Director of Sales & Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the hotel’s commercial success. This is a strategic, influential leadership position where you will define the vision, elevate market positioning, and lead a high-performing Sales & Marketing team.
You will balance strategic oversight with hands-on commercial activity—building strong relationships with corporate clients, conference organisers, travel partners and key stakeholders. You will champion the brand, enhance digital performance and ensure consistent execution of all marketing, sales and PR initiatives.
What You’ll Lead
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement the annual Sales & Marketing Plan for the hotel.
- Drive growth across corporate, conference, leisure, weddings and association segments.
- Analyse performance, forecast demand and adjust strategies to maximise revenue and market share.
Business Development & Client Relationships
- Lead national and regional new business acquisition.
- Grow existing key accounts and reactivate lapsed client relationships.
- Conduct regular sales calls, market visits and client engagement activities.
Marketing, Digital & Brand Development
- Oversee all digital marketing, social media activity and online brand presence.
- Manage website optimisation, content creation, paid campaigns and CRM activity.
- Deliver PR initiatives, promotional campaigns, collateral development and photography projects.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead the Sales, Marketing, Events and Business Development teams.
- Foster teamwork, open communication and a positive, performance-focused culture.
- Collaborate closely with all hotel departments to ensure seamless delivery of guest and event experiences.
Representation & Networking
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, conferences and industry events.
- Build strong relationships with tourism partners, agencies and local business communities.

Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Sales & Marketing manager/similar position

- Experience leading teams and managing multiple commercial functions
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
