Excellent Job Opportunity for an Electrical Project Manger / Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Construction Manager, based in Limerick
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee all site-based construction activities on major projects, from pre-mobilisation through to commissioning and demobilisation. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of electrical works on-site, leading teams, coordinating with stakeholders, managing sub-contractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met throughout the lifecycle of the project. This role involves early engagement in project start-up activities, such as assisting in the development of construction programmes and short-term planning, establishing the site setup, validating project data, reviewing construction drawings, and supporting HSEQ initiatives. During the project execution phase, the Electrical Construction Manager is responsible for day-to-day site operations, maintaining productivity, managing sub-contractor performance, conducting site meetings, producing and updating short-term programmes, and maintaining detailed site records.
Close collaboration with sub-contractors, site supervisors, and project personnel is essential to ensure co-ordination across multiple trades and disciplines. The Electrical Construction Manager must demonstrate ownership in resolving site challenges, while supporting the Project Manager in delivering on time and to specification.
Health and safety is a core focus, with responsibilities including enforcing method statements and risk assessments, conducting daily walkarounds, delivering toolbox talks and briefings, and ensuring all operatives comply with site safety rules and wear appropriate PPE. In parallel, the candidate will maintain high quality standards by planning materials delivery, overseeing inspection and testing, minimising snags, and managing client handovers.
At the project close-out stage, the Electrical Construction Manager will liaise with the commissioning engineer to ensure all systems are fully operational, certified, and documented in accordance with the project checklist. They will support final drawing submissions, manage site demobilisation, and ensure all statutory documentation is in place.
