My client have a number of senior roles coming up in Europe - working on data centre development and substation development deliveries.
As Electrical Site Project Manager, you will take ownership of the planning, coordination, and delivery of all electrical packages on a Substation and Data Centre project in Belgium. This role offers the chance to manage complex electrical systems, lead subcontractors, and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance, all while meeting project deadlines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Package Ownership: Manage all aspects of electrical packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
- Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement detailed installation programs. Coordinate electrical activities with mechanical and civil teams.
- Technical Oversight: Review drawings, specifications, and technical submittals. Ensure compliance with project requirements and local standards.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractors’ performance on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
- Quality & Safety: Drive adherence to Designer Group’s safety standards. Conduct regular quality checks and audits.
- Progress Reporting: Track and report progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager. Maintain accurate documentation.
- Commercial Awareness: Assist with cost control, procurement, and material approvals to keep packages within budget.
- Commissioning: Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems to client specifications.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in a similar role within large-scale M&E projects. Data Centre or mission-critical experience highly desirable.
- Technical Background: Electrical Engineering qualification (degree or equivalent).
- Project Knowledge: Strong understanding of LV/HV systems, containment, power distribution, lighting, UPS systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Leadership: Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Compliance: Knowledge of local Austrian regulations and EU standards.
- Language: English is essential; German is an advantage.
- Other: Right to work in the EU. Willingness to be based in Europe for project duration.
