We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager (Mandarin Chinese speaker) for an online marketplace that connects consumers with millions of sellers, manufacturers and brands around the world with the mission to empower them to live their best lives.
The purpose of the role is to lead and develop the financial reporting team to ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all statutory reporting obligations and compliance with all applicable standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize the financial reporting working procedure, as well as the Financial Accounting and Reporting Policies
- Act as primary source of advice for Financial Accounting and Reporting queries
- Manage the preparation of financial reports on a periodic basis
- Manage the review of statutory financial statements
- Drive projects, provide finance guidance and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues
- Supervise and assist in the training and development of the financial reporting team
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- 7+ years of finance experience or at least 3 years’ experience in financial or regulatory reporting
- Must speak professional level Mandarin Chinese
- Background in E-commerce background, including working in a high-volume payment processing environment
- Excellent understanding of IFRS reporting requirements.
- Preferred: Experience working in financial reporting from a Big-4 public accounting firm is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal written and spoken communication skills
- Be able to work with a fast-paced start-up
