Our client is currently recruiting for an assistant manager in a busy grocery store based in Mallow Co Cork.
The ideal candidate will have experience in retail management. Previous experience within the fresh food/deli environment would be an advantage.
Hours: Permanent full time position, 5 over 7 days, flexibility over weekends required
Salary: €32-€34k depending on experience
Key Duties:
· Assisting the Store Manager in the day to day running of this large store
· Managing a large team of staff across multiple departments
· Ensuring all staff training & development is fulfilled
· Ensuring compliance with all legislation applicable to the industry
· Ensuring the store is presented in a professional manner at all times
· HACCP Duties
· Ensuring all company policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to
· Ordering stock and managing stock takes
Key Requirements:
· A minimum of 2/3 years’ experience in a senior retail grocery management role is within a large supermarket is essential.
· Previous management experience in a grocery store would be an advantage but is not essential
· Must have a strong knowledge of store financial reports e.g. sales reports, KPI’s etc.

· Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
