Functional Solution Consultant
Key responsibilities:
• Implement and assist with functional configuration of applications
• Providing assistance and advisory to clients on specific functionalities of the application
• Document and track changes to the application and its extensions
• Liaise with client stakeholders making sure new requirements are understood, translated, and implemented as per request
• Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to client business, finance and/or production support staff to whom the solution will be transitioned at project completion.
• Perform and guide colleagues according to best practice, maintaining a focus on the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Managing issues on client systems, applying updates and workarounds for known issues, logging tickets, and ensuring they progress to completion while keeping clients updated.
• Building and developing a knowledgebase on most common functional topics
Skills, attributes & experience:
• Very good English skills, min. B2/C1.
• Experience in Consultancy,
• Analytical, client-focused, problem-solving and quick-learner,
• Ability to provide concise and accurate updates and explanations to clients and team members, • Ability to identify known issues and document workflows & processes
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Understanding of accounting principles/revenue streams would be an asset
Accounting & Consultancy Skills:
• Experience in accounting principles and the various facets of Technical Accounting
• Good understanding of double-entry, FX concepts, and period end
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of products / financial instruments from an accounting perspective. • Experience in SQL (data interrogation, querying etc.) Preferably qualified in Accounting
• Experience of implementing Financial Systems/General Ledger projects within Financial Services
Availability and work shifts:
• Work inside client’s business hours (whether CET or EST / PST) • Possible standby cover during weekends and/or bank holidays
