Position: GP Practice Nurse
Contract: Part-time - 2 days per week
We are currently seeking an experienced GP Practice Nurse to join a well-established and supportive GP practice in County Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse who enjoys working in primary care and values patient-centred practice in a friendly, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cervical screening / smear taking
- Immunisations and vaccinations
- Wound care and dressings
- Health promotion and patient education
- Phlebotomy and ECGs
- Supporting GPs with day-to-day clinical care
- General Practice Nurse duties within a busy GP surgery
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration
- Previous GP Practice Nurse experience desirable
- Strong clinical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
