Head of Finance
Be part of a rapidly growing Investment Firm based in Cork, seeking a commercially strong Head of Finance for their expanding business. This is an exciting role where you will be part of the executive leadership team and taking responsibility for the financial control, regulatory reporting, commercial and operational finance strategic delivery of the business. Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal individual will actively build relationships both inside and outside the business to drive and expand the company from a financial and commercial perspective.
Financial Responsibilities:
Responsibility / overview of management accounts across the Group;
Preparation of Central Bank returns for regulated entities on a monthly / quarterly basis;
Implement and manage a strong financial control environment;
Cash flow and Treasury management activity execution and analysis;
Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements;
Identifying key trends to support planning and decision making;
Liaise with external auditors and advisors in relation to all reporting requirements;
Managing tax compliance for the company including liaising with external tax advisers and completion of annual tax returns;
Identifying and rolling out system and process enhancements
Requirements:
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA with circa 10 years' experience with ideally 3 years' minimum in a Controller capacity);
A background in a regulated Financial Services environment would be advantageous
Strong IT skills desirable;
Capability to build and lead effective relationships with senior stakeholders and across the wider business
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate a strong commercial, managerial and strategic background.
Strong people person, natural leader and ability to provide common sense solutions to complex issues
