Head of Finance – Commercial Focus
Location: Dublin (with international exposure)
The Role:
We are seeking a Head of Finance who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a sharp commercial mindset. Reporting directly to the CEO/Founder, you will own the financial strategy and operations of a fast-scaling international business. This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape pricing models, optimize margins, and ensure financial rigor while supporting strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Finance Operations: Oversee all accounting processes, reporting, and compliance.
- Commercial Finance Leadership: Partner with sales on tenders and pricing strategies; analyze unit economics to drive profitability.
- Cash Flow & Planning: Manage working capital, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with ARR and growth targets.
- Performance Reporting: Deliver monthly accounts, KPI packs, and automated dashboards focused on leading indicators.
- Risk & Controls: Continuously improve internal controls to safeguard cash flow and margins.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with leadership, investors, and debt providers.
- Team Leadership: Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Board Engagement: Prepare and present board packs with actionable insights.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years in a senior finance role.
- Proven experience in commercial finance, pricing, and margin optimization.
- Skilled in modern accounting systems and ERP/CRM platforms; transformation experience a plus.
- Strong grasp of working capital management and financial metrics.
- Exposure to international operations and scaling environments.
- Growth mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
