HEAD OF FINANCE & IT

My client operates within a highly regulated, innovation-driven sector and is undergoing a significant phase of growth and transformation. Its products and solutions support critical operations across multiple markets, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and long-term sustainability. The business is scaling its commercial footprint while modernising its internal systems, data infrastructure, and governance frameworks. This role sits at the centre of that evolution, shaping both financial stewardship and digital capability to support the next stage of expansion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting to deliver accurate, insight-driven financial performance.

• Ensure full compliance, audit readiness, and strong financial governance across all functions.

• Present financial insights, risks, and strategic options to the CEO, Board, and senior leadership.

• Drive continuous enhancement of ERP (SAP) and core systems to enable scalable operations.

• Build IT infrastructure, architecture, and controls to support growth, reliability, and security.

• Lead data governance, ensuring integration, quality, and access across multiple platforms.

• Partner with Operations and Commercial teams to evaluate investments, feasibility studies, and project ROI.

• Support M&A activities including due diligence, integration planning, and financial modelling.

• Guide digital transformation initiatives, automation programmes, and process optimisation.

• Strengthen internal frameworks such as risk management, controls, and financial delegation.

• Manage external relationships with auditors, regulators, banks, and technology vendors.

• Deliver key improvement projects across finance and IT in line with organisational priorities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Deep expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, governance, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven capability shaping financial strategy and presenting at Board and senior-executive level.

• Strong understanding of ERP environments, ideally SAP, including optimisation and change delivery.

• Experience developing IT roadmaps, infrastructure, and system integration strategies.

• Skilled in data governance, security awareness, and multi-system architecture.

• Ability to lead cross-functional projects, influence stakeholders, and drive organisational change.

• Commercial judgement to support investment decisions, capital planning, and business cases.

• Experience working with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and technical partners.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial and technical information into clear recommendations.

• Demonstrated leadership capability across multi-disciplinary teams, including finance and IT.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with senior internal and external stakeholders.

• Track record of delivering measurable improvements in systems, processes, and organisational performance.
