Head of Internal Communications
Location: Dublin 1 (Hybrid)
CPL our partnering with a well-established National Utilities organisation to recruit for a dynamic Head of Internal Communications to lead and shape internal communications strategy across a national organisation. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Director of Communications & Corporate Affairs, responsible for engaging a diverse workforce and supporting business transformation through impactful, integrated communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a clear internal communications strategy that supports business priorities and values.
- Build communications capability among senior leaders and managers.
- Lead CEO and executive visibility programmes aligned with reputation and engagement goals.
- Create consistent messaging and storytelling frameworks for strategic initiatives.
- Manage and evolve internal communication channels to meet a multi-generational workforce's needs.
- Champion employee engagement and feedback, driving alignment between internal and external messaging.
- Provide expert advice and delivery on communications for key projects and change programmes.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team and manage the internal communications budget.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have
- 10+ years' experience in internal communications or stakeholder engagement, including 5+ at senior management level.
- Strong leadership and team development experience, ideally in a complex or regulated environment.
- A relevant third-level qualification or communications accreditation (desirable).
- Proven ability to align communications with strategic goals and business change.
- Excellent influencing skills, with experience supporting executive leaders.
- Skilled in digital and traditional communication channels with a data-led approach.
- Commercial awareness and experience managing resources effectively.
