About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and highly respected distributor within the industrial process and flow control sector, is seeking a motivated Internal Technical Sales professional to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced technical sales environment and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the external sales team, managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, and ensuring efficient order processing from enquiry through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to internal sales enquiries in a prompt and professional manner
- Prepare detailed quotations and tender submissions
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability, and technical information
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage stock ordering when required
- Follow up on existing quotations to help convert opportunities into sales
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Participate in ongoing product training to maintain technical knowledge
- Work towards achieving monthly KPIs and sales targets
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working with valves and actuation products is essential
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with ERP systems advantageous)
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
