Cpl Executive is exclusively retained with our client Joule Group, an ambitious and growing HVAC group based in Dublin, to appoint a Managing Director for their Ireland business unit.

The organisation predominately sells into the European market with some additional worldwide sales.
About Joule Ireland:
Joule Ireland is part of Joule Group, and is a recognised leader in heating and renewables industry, providing end-to-end solutions — from manufacture of heat pumps and hot water cylinders to fully integrated renewable energy solutions in Ireland. It employs around 130 FTE and generates a revenue of close to EUR 70 m.
Joule offers heating & plumbing design services through their dedicated in-house design team. Providing design packages to the new-build domestic market and all types of properties; from the self-build up to large sites for the major house builders throughout Ireland.
The company has a strong focus on the ever-expanding field of renewable energy and sustainability.
The Position:
This key appointment will report directly to the Group CEO and the Board and is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious senior executive to join a growing business. As a key member of the leadership team and Director of the Group, you will be fully responsible for leading the Irish business, to include commercial and operations and for driving revenue and EBITDA growth.
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Financial
· Develop and promote a comprehensive business strategy for Ireland in line with the Company’s ambitions.
· Achieve or exceed agreed performance targets relating to: revenue, order intake values, EBTIDA and Cash.
· Co-ordinate financial and budget activities for maximum operational effectiveness and efficiency.
· Manage and plan capital expenditure for assets in line with agreed expenditure levels.
· Identify risks to the achievement of the Company’s strategy or targeted performance and devise mitigating actions.
People
· Providing Strategic leadership, coach, lead, inspire, develop and motivate the management team and the rest of the organisation.
· Increase the team’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, training and coaching direct reports.
Attract, Develop and Retain Key Talent
· Promote a culture of employee engagement and focus on Safety, Health & Wellbeing, Environment and Quality by taking a leadership responsibility for ensuring safe working and driving continuous improvement.
· Develop effective relationships with other members of the Company’s Management Team and contribute to the sharing of best practice including participating/leading appropriate Group projects.
Commercial
· Identify, recommend and implement agreed initiatives to enhance and/or add value to the Business.
· Building relationships and partnering with key suppliers and customers.
· Guide the commercial team to ensure the agreed KPIs are achieved for all areas through a set of commercial action plans, including the retention of our key customers.
· Create and implement a launch plan for new products.
· Review performance data (financial, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels and ensure an effective business development strategy is in place.
Legislative
· Maintain understanding of the Company’s legislative, contractual and technical requirements working closely with the Group’s Legal Counsel and Design & Engineering Department.
Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, manufacturing or a related discipline.
- 5 years+ experience within a senior operations/director role within a HVAC or manufacturing organisation, preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing operations of businesses with annual turnover of +€50m.
- Experience leading cross functional teams, including sales, engineering, quality, compliance, HR & others, including performance and annual reviews. Demonstrate experience holding meaningful and impactful discussions with teams and individuals on performance, strategic objectives and general business outcomes.
- Experience with supporting commercial teams to create, execute, and optimise profitable growth strategies.
- Exceptional communicator, strong interpersonal and active listening skills, able to create impact and demonstrate proactive stakeholder relationship awareness.
Location
The role will be full time on site, with the main office located in Dublin. Travel may be required to European subsidiaries.
