Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract: 12 Months

My client is a global leader in the Pharmaceuticals sector working closely with the NHS and delivering hundreds of millions of pounds of R&D investment. They set the standard for research, development and manufacture of treatments, medicines and vaccines.

In this role you will be supporting the Medical Devices Development team for this pharmaceutical giant. You will be joining a growing market with an industry leader, able to build a potentially long lasting relationship.

Key Responsibilities

·      Design and develop drug delivery devices through producing 3D CAD models

·      Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis

·      Create and maintain documentation to industry standard

·      Perform design and test analysis

·      Design for manufacture and design for assembly

·      Liaise with internal and external design teams

Requirements

·      Experience designing using CAD for a highly regulated industry (Creo and Medical Devices preferred)

·      Ability to conduct basic engineering calculations

·      Experience designing using plastic components

·      Experience designing complex mechanical systems
