Design Engineer

Salary depending on level of experience £35,000 up to £50,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Engineer to join a leading agricultural equipment manufacturer. This role will focus on the design and development of robust, high-performance machinery, supporting new product introduction and continuous improvement across existing product lines.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the design and development of agricultural machinery from concept through to production
· Create detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for manufacture
· Work closely with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
· Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation to ensure performance and compliance with industry standards
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives across existing products and systems
· Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including prototyping and trials
Requirements
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
· Proven experience in a design engineering role within fabrication or agricultural sectors
· Strong 3D CAD experience (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for manufacture
