Senior Traffic Examiner
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Senior Traffic Examiner (E01 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
· Pay Rate - £17.43 per/hr
· Location – DfI, DVA Compliance & Roadside Enforcement
· Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
· Hours – 37 hours per week
Responsibilities will include:
· The post holder will be responsible for progressing a range of key deliverables by DVA to support the Transport Regulation Unit (TRU), Passenger Transport Licensing Division (PTLD) and assist roadside enforcement and compliance activities, these include:
· The completion of any in-house specialist training.
· Undertaking compliance audits at licensed goods, and bus operating centres to ensure transport operators comply with the conditions of their operator’s licence within required timescales.
· Drafting detailed reports setting out findings and recommendations following the completion of compliance audits.
· Attending Public Inquiries and PTLD Case Panel hearings as a professional witness.
· Undertaking off road parking assessments at proposed transport operating centres in support of new licence applications.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
· At least 2 years’ experience gained within the last 6 years of gathering evidence, preparing witness statements / prosecution cases and attending court to give evidence.

· Possess a full current driving licence to enable the holder to drive in Northern Ireland and/or access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post in full.

Desired Experience/Qualifications
· 2 years’ experience of enforcing or managing tachograph and drivers’ hours requirements.
Relevant or Equivalent Qualifications
Applications will also be considered from applicants with relevant formal qualifications considered to be of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
