Scope: • Reporting to Plant Manager, the role will have responsibility for site production, which includes planning, shift based manufacturing and store operations. You will provide leadership to the team, supporting their development, continuous improvement, and success. This role operates as part of the site senior leadership team and will have responsibility for helping to develop, implement and actively drive site initiatives while maintaining the company vision of consistently producing high quality products. Responsibilities: • Promote and support the development of an effective and pro-active safety culture on site with the whole team working to identify and eliminate hazards • Develop and implement the manufacturing strategy for embracing new technologies, improving processes, and enhancing manufacturing capability, balancing operational efficiency with a commitment to safety and quality. • Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure effective governance, compliance, and cost management across the plant. • Drive the site’s performance against key KPIs: Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Inventory, and Employee Engagement. • Ensure that each area has clear KPIs and that performance is measured on a daily and weekly basis. Delivering these KPIs is critical to the role • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by integrating Lean Six Sigma practices and driving a zero-loss mindset across the site. • Coach and mentor the team, creating an environment where individuals feel empowered, engaged, and developed. • Contribute to Employee and Unions relations on site, building effective and progressive relationships and agendas. • Manage the performance of the manufacturing team, aligning on objectives, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. • Leverage expertise in data analysis and process optimization to identify and drive operational improvements, ensuring a competitive advantage Qualifications & Skills: • Degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or related field. • Minimum 5–7 years’ management experience in a regulated or precision manufacturing setting. • Proven track record in managing multi-shift teams and cross-department coordination. • Strong understanding of ISO / IATF 16949 standards, lean principles, and SOP-driven production. • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. • Proactive approach to promoting a culture of Safety, Continuous Improvement & Innovation.
