Purchasing & Logistics Manager - Dun Laoghaire
My client are an drinks brand, who manufacture and distribute in international markets. They are based in Dun Laoghaire where all of their procurement function is held which involves everything from bottles, labels, caps and liquid which is then shipped to manufacturing sites for production.
Job Purpose:
The role is responsible for the planning, scheduling, initiating, monitoring and quality assurance of all procurement and contract activities for the Group’s raw material requirements that are not sourced locally by group affiliates.
Reports to: Group General Manager: Procurement and Logistics
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the day- to day operation of the procurement process
· Day to day supplier relationship management
· Analyse stock levels of group affiliates
· Maintenance of material planning models for group affiliates
· Preparation of purchase and sale orders
- Scheduling of shipping for raw materials
· Co-ordination of logistics providers to ensure timely loadings and deliveries
· Maintenance of logistics status reports
· Compilation of all shipping documentation
· Letters of credit pack compilation and submission to the financial institutions
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
· Knowledge and experience in Procurement /Logistics/Supply Chain
· 4+ years related working experience in purchasing for a multi-national company
· BBS/BComm and CIPS qualification or working towards.
· Thorough understanding of international trade, logistics and customs regulations
· Understanding of Materials Requirement Planning
· Proficient in MS Office; Excel essential
· FMCG or related experience desirable
