Revenue Accountant
Our client is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join their team on permanent basis. Our client is a large multinational company and an employer of choice in Cork. In this role you will report to the Revenue Controller for international entities and you will complete monthly and quarterly reporting requirements while ensuring Sox compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that revenue-related journals are posted within the required deadlines for the various entities.
- Liaise with various GBS teams and local Business Finance.
- Responsible for driving M/E and Q/E close, and ensuring that various activities are being
- performed within the required deadlines set by Corporate
- Review customer revenue models and identify contract.
- Performance Obligations (POB’s) to be accounted for.
- Maintain accurate revenue recognition models for assigned projects.
- Perform a critical review of revenue and cost forecast changes to determine revenue recognition impact.
- Evaluate, create and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Liaise with auditors to complete group and statutory reporting
- Provide analytical revenue and unbilled receivable management reporting.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to revenue recognition
Requirements:
- You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA)
- Experience working in Revenue is an advantage but not essential. Training will be provided.
- Previous experience working in a multinational environment / shared service centre is an advantage
- Ideally you will have experience in US GAAP SOX & strong ERP systems experience.
- You will have excellent analytical skills and will be detail orientated
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are essential.
