*Senior Bioinformatician required by leading Biotech based in Oxford*
A leading Biotech, based in Oxford, currently requires a Senior Bioinformatician to work with Proteomics data and support the analysis and data management of mass-spectrometry based data.
Upon joining, the Senior Bioinformatician will join a team of 4 Bioinformaticians and will develop tools to assist the proteomics department with the analysis of large, complex data sets as well as working very closely with a team of 4 Software developers to develop a database system. The Bioinformatician will be the point of contact for all Proteomics data and will get involved in developing Machine Learning based solutions to uncover new insights.
In terms of skills, we are looking for Senior Bioinformaticians who have excellent experience with Python, AWS/Azure and some exposure to pipelining systems such as Nextflow/Luigi/Airflow or similar.
The Senior Bioinformatician will ideally have expertise within Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry and have an awareness of Machine Learning technology. On the education side, the Senior Bioinformatician must hold at least a MSc in Bioinformatics or similar.
