Senior Storeperson

Flexsource NI are recruiting for a Senior Storeperson on a temporary basis, working a minimum of 21hours per week, paying £15.47 per hour

Responsibilities:

·        Manage the day-to-day operation of the Council’s Stores, ensuring efficient receipt, storage and despatch of stock and non-stock items.

·        Procure stock items, maintain appropriate stock levels, obtain quotations, raise purchase orders electronically and ensure best value and quality.

·        Receive, check and record all goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.

·        Ensure safe storage, handling and disposal of goods (including hazardous materials) in full compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

·        Maintain accurate stock control systems, records, filing and computerised stock movement updates, including end-of-year stocktaking.

·        Control and issue fuel, machinery, tools and equipment, including security of keys, monitoring usage, and reporting losses or damage.

·        Carry out and maintain risk assessments, equipment inspections, CCTV management, and compliance with CPCS and fork truck regulations.

·        Work closely with the Purchasing Officer and other stakeholders to improve stores processes, prevent disruption, and support Council operations.

Requirements:

·        Valid forklift licence

·        Ones years experience working in a warehouse carrying out stock control and inventory management duties

·        Manual Handling training and knowledge of health and safety at work
