Social Care Leader – Children’s Residential Services
Location: Ballinvalley, Wicklow

We are currently accepting applications for Social Care Leaders to join the team at the Ballinvalley service in Wicklow, working as part of a committed residential care team supporting vulnerable young people.
The Role
As a Social Care Leader, you will play a key leadership role within the residential service, supporting the delivery of safe, consistent, and high-quality care while guiding and mentoring Social Care Workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day running of the residential service
- Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff on shift
- Promote and deliver trauma-informed, person-centred care
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and the Irish National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres
- Support young people to feel safe, supported, and empowered
- Participate in care planning, reviews, and key-working duties
Essential Criteria
- Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant equivalent
- Full, clean manual driver’s licence valid in Ireland
- Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres
- Eligible to work in Ireland
- Experience working in services where TCI is used
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working at Social Care grade with young people
