My client, a large accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join their Business Advisory team, providing accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced practice environment, requiring strong time management and adaptability. The position offers leadership responsibility, career progression, and autonomy within a collaborative, client-focused team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of a portfolio of clients to include sole trades, owner managed business, family businesses and farmers.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of accounting, tax, and compliance services.
- Lead, support, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Review financial statements, management accounts, and tax filings.
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver a high standard of service.
- Implement best practice processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to business development and cross-selling of firm services.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Experience in a medium sized accountancy practice desirable
- Strong technical and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Proactive, client-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
