Accounts Assistant

My client a well-established company based outside of the city is seeking an Account’s Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Code and key accounts payable and process timely payments.
• Raise sales invoices ensuring all sales are captured.
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with year-end accounts.
• Investigate all discrepancies with invoice totals and work within the company to balance all accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and related correspondence.
• Accounts Receivable and managing credit collections.
• Weekly bank reconciliation and analysis of accounts and variances.
• Contribute to and/or complete special projects as assigned.

Skills:

• 1-2 years’ experience working as an Accounts Assistant.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting /Diploma preferred.
• Accounting Technician qualification is an advantage but not essential.
• IT Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
