We are looking to hire an administrative assistant on a part time contract, Monday-Friday, for our public sector client based in Galway. This is a temporary contract until 31/7/26.
The main purpose of the post is to provide administrative support to the suite of MSc, Higher Diploma, Cert programmes in Medical Technologies and Regulatory affairs and to assist with school-wide administrative functions and processes within the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences. A key feature of the post is the provision of programme support, as well as school operations and office responsibilities. This includes providing day-to-day support for our MSc, Higher Diploma, Cert programmes in Medical Technologies and Regulatory affairs and assisting our Programme Directors, Fees and Registration Office, academic staff, and students.
Requirements:
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Experience of using ICT applications
- Ability to work on own initiative and be part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a teammember.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including SharePoint and Teams
- Good working knowledge of standard University of Galway administrative applications or equivalent systems e.g. Canvas, CRM, Quercus, Akar
