API Sales Representative, German Speaking
Location: Dublin (On-Site) | Salary: 48K base + 30K OTE
Type: Full-Time | Contract- 1-year contract with chance of renewal
Overview
On behalf of my client, I am hiring API Sales Representatives (German speaking) to drive the adoption of advanced AI platform APIs across SMB and mid-market customers.
This is not a traditional SaaS subscription sales role.
This position focuses on usage-based revenue models, API integration, and long-term consumption growth within a high-growth AI platform environment.
You will engage with developers, product teams, and technical decision-makers to understand integration needs, guide API adoption, and drive measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition through outbound prospecting (calls, email, digital engagement)
- Own the full sales cycle from qualification through to close
- Conduct consultative and technical discovery conversations to understand integration requirements and use cases
- Position API solutions within cloud, AI, and developer ecosystem environments
- Partner closely with Solutions Engineering to support demos, proof of concepts, and technical evaluations
- Forecast usage-based pipeline and manage expansion opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation and forecast accuracy in Salesforce
- Achieve and exceed monthly revenue and performance targets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Engineering and Customer Success teams
Required Experience
- 2+ years B2B technology sales experience
- SaaS, cloud, AI, API or platform sales exposure required
- Experience managing full sales cycles
- Comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders (developers, product managers, engineering teams)
- Strong understanding of usage-based / consumption revenue models preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Experience applying qualification methodologies (e.g. BANT, MEDDICC)
Language Requirements
- English C1 minimum
- German C1 required
