I am working with a company to hire a Bookkeeper for their Dublin 18 office. This is a permanent and role is office based. Candidates must have 1+ years experience in a similar role in ROI and an EU Passport or a valid Stamp 4 Visa.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day transactions, and supporting key finance operations in line with Irish accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books and records including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Process supplier and customer invoices
- Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
- Prepare and file VAT returns and other Revenue submissions (e.g., PAYE, RCT if applicable)
- Support payroll processes and record employee expenses
- Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reports
- Liaise with external accountants, Revenue, and other relevant parties as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Irish tax and financial regulations
- Provide ad hoc financial administration support to the wider team
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
- Working knowledge of Irish tax systems including VAT and PAYE
- Strong Excel and general IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Desirable:
- Accounting Technician (ATI) or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, etc.)
- Experience in a SME or multi-tasking finance environment
- Familiarity with Revenue Online Service (ROS)
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Surf Accounts, QuickBooks)
