Cloud Engineer

Position: Cloud Engineer (1 year Contract)

Location: Galway (Hybrid)

Role Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer, to join their team on a 1 year contracting opportunity.

In this role you will partner with software development groups on integration solutions and third-party platforms.

Your areas of expertise:

·       Administration of AWS-hosted applications, with emphasis on services like EC2, Systems Manager, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, and others

·       Development and upkeep of Jenkins Core pipelines

·       Configuration, monitoring, and response to DataDog observables

·       Collection and analysis of logs from diverse sources (e.g., vendor logs) for troubleshooting and resolution

·       Scripting and automation proficiency (PowerShell, Python), coupled with a drive for process optimization

·       Fundamental database querying skills

·       Basic networking and infrastructure knowledge

·       Familiarity with Tableau or other data-visualization tools is advantageous

Your responsibilities:

·       Support, maintain, and upgrade both internal environments and vendor platforms

·       Triage technical incidents, author knowledge-base articles, and work alongside the production support desk

·       Collaborate with a range of business stakeholders and external vendors

·       Navigate a large, multifaceted organization and engage various cross-functional teams to meet objectives

·       Oversee Change Management and Incident Management processes and related tooling
