Job Title: Technical Lead – CRM (Microsoft Dynamics, On-Prem to Cloud Transformation)
12 month Day Rate contract
Dublin – Hybrid
Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to own and evolve our Microsoft Dynamics CRM, currently deployed on-premise. This role places a strong emphasis on people leadership, cross-team collaboration, and communication. The successful candidate will not only provide technical direction but also lead, mentor, and grow the team while working closely with other technical leads to ensure alignment across systems and platforms. You will ensure the stability of the current environment while also contributing to the future roadmap.
Key Responsibilities People Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CRM engineers, Business Analysts and Testers fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
• Support team members in problem-solving, decision-making, and technical growth.
• Build a collaborative, inclusive team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
• Manage team capacity, workload planning, and prioritisation in alignment with business goals. Cross-Team Collaboration & Communication
• Act as the primary CRM representative within the wider ICT Team.
• Collaborate closely with other technical leads to ensure alignment on standards, and system or team dependencies.
• Drive clear and consistent communication across teams, especially where systems are integrated.
• Encourage a collaborative approach to decision making.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills
• Strong experience with customization & configuration within Dynamics 365 including: Entities, Forms, Views, Dashboards, Business Rules and Workflows.
• Deep understanding of: o Security (roles, teams, business units) o Solution management (managed vs unmanaged)
• Deep understanding of: o .NET / C# o REST / OData endpoints o SOAP services (older CRM versions)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server o Writing optimized queries o Understanding CRM database structure o Indexing & performance tuning
• Previous experience in installing and configuring CRM servers.
• Knowledge of: o Windows Server o IIS (Internet Information Services) o Understanding of Claims-based Auth (ADFS) o Performance monitoring and scaling • Familiarity with Azure services and cloud architecture principles.
• Experience with data migration tools, and best practices.
Desirable Skills
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Marketing.
• Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience working in complex, multi-team enterprise environments.
• Previous experience with Azure DevOps.
