Senior Staff Engineer – C# / .NET

We’re partnering exclusively with a global cybersecurity SaaS leader delivering enterprise-grade Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions trusted by large-scale organisations worldwide.
This is a fully remote role within Ireland.
This isn’t a routine development role. It’s for a senior engineer who thrives in complexity, enjoys untangling hard problems, and takes true ownership of systems from code to production.
The Opportunity
This role is approximately 90% hands-on engineering and 10% DevOps collaboration.
You will:
- Lead deep technical investigations across large-scale C# / .NET systems
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across APIs, databases, infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Refactor and modernise legacy components to improve scalability, resilience and maintainability
- Act as a senior technical authority within the team
- Partner closely with DevOps on deployment strategy, observability and runtime optimisation
- Contribute to architectural decisions and platform evolution

What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of commercial software engineering experience
- Deep debugging expertise across distributed and monolithic systems
- Strong database optimisation and performance tuning skills
- Confidence reading and understanding unfamiliar, large codebases
- A natural problem solver who enjoys untangling complex technical challenges
- Strong production mindset — understanding how software behaves in the real world
